8月31日，世錦賽男雙半決賽：陳柏陽/劉毅2-1（21-19、18-21、21-12）戰勝蘭基雷迪/謝提，首次參加世錦賽即進決賽。國羽時隔14年打進世錦賽全部5個單項的決賽，上一次是2011年倫敦世錦賽。


決賽中，中國組合將對陣韓國組合金元浩/徐承宰，後者2-0淘汰了丹麥的阿斯特魯普/拉斯姆森。
